Sola fide, meaning "faith alone" in Latin, is biblically grounded in Ephesians 2:8-9, where it is written, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." This passage highlights that salvation comes through faith in Yahweh and not through human efforts or deeds. Paul's argument here is that faith in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) as the means of salvation underscores the unmerited favor of God toward humanity, emphasizing trust in divine grace rather than reliance on personal righteousness or the fulfillment of the law. This principle is central to the doctrine of justification by faith alone, asserting that faith in Yahweh's promises, as revealed through Yeshua, is the sole basis of a believer's justification before God.

What are your thoughts?

Hi @Dismas, have you watched this clip where Ben Shapiro talks about how he thinks Christianity is also acts based?

(If you don't have time to watch all of it, you can fast forward to 3:13, 6:24, and 9:10)

I think Ben is confused because of James 2:14-26.
"You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." vs. 24
"Faith apart from works is dead." vs. 26

I can see why Ben is confused. I wish someone can clarify to him why salvation is faith alone.
I wish he understands that there is a difference between trying to earn your salvation by your works vs. the authenticity of your faith is proven through your obedience/works.

I don't think Jordan says he is a Christian in that clip. He actually says he is not an expert on Christianity in that video.
But I found an article about him in the Gospel Coalition website:

Oh I see. He's definitely a deep thinker nevertheless.
