2 A person may want to give grain as a gift to the Lord . He must make it into flour. He must put oil and incense on the flour. 2 He must take it to Aaron's sons, the priests. The priest will take some of the flour and oil and all the incense in his hand. He will burn them on the altar as a gift to the Lord . The smell of them while they are burning will give the Lord pleasure. 3 The flour that he did not burn is for the priests. It is very holy. That is because it is part of an offering to the Lord .
4 A person must not use yeast if he bakes his gift of grain. He must make cakes or biscuits with flour and oil. 5 He must not use yeast if he cooks his cake on a flat plate. He must make it with flour and oil. 6 He must break the cake into pieces. He must pour oil on it. It is a gift to God. 7 A person must use flour and oil to cook the cake in a pot. 8 He must give the cake to the priest. The priest will take it to the altar. 9 He will take a piece of it and he will burn it in the fire. It is a gift to the Lord . The smell of it while it is burning will give the Lord pleasure. 10 The part of the cake that he did not burn is for the priests. That is because it is most holy, part of a burnt offering to the Lord .
11 A person must not use yeast when he gives a gift of grain to the Lord . He must not give yeast or honey for the priests to burn as gifts to the Lord . 12 He can give them as the first part of his harvest. He must not burn them on the fire. He cannot use them to give the Lord pleasure. 13 A person must put salt in all his gifts of grain. Salt is a mark of God's promise to Israel's people. [ a ]
14 A person may want to give the first part of his harvest to the Lord . He must break the grains into pieces and he must cook them in a fire. 15 They are a gift, so he must put oil and incense on them. 16 The priest will burn a part of the grain with all the incense. It is a burnt offering to the Lord .
2 “When you give a grain offering to the Lord , your offering must be made from fine flour. You must pour oil on this flour and put frankincense on it. 2 Then you must bring it to Aaron’s sons, the priests. One of them will take a handful of the fine flour with oil and frankincense in it. He will bring this part, which represents the whole grain offering, to the altar. There it will be burned up as a sweet-smelling gift to the Lord . 3 The rest of that grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons. This gift to the Lord is very holy.
4 “If you give a grain offering that was baked in the oven, it must be unleavened bread made from fine flour mixed with oil, or it must be wafers with oil poured over them. 5 If you bring a grain offering cooked in a baking pan, it must be made from fine flour without yeast and mixed with oil. 6 You must break it into pieces and pour oil over it. It is a grain offering. 7 If you bring a grain offering cooked in a frying pan, it must be made from fine flour mixed with oil.
8 “When you bring grain offerings made from these things to the Lord , you must give them to the priest, and he will take them to the altar. 9 Then the priest will take part of the grain offering and lift it up as a memorial offering. He will bring it to the altar to be burned up as a sweet-smelling gift to the Lord . 10 The rest of that grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons. This gift to the Lord is very holy.
11 “You must not give any grain offering to the Lord that has yeast in it. You must not burn yeast or honey as a gift to the Lord . 12 You may bring yeast and honey to the Lord as an offering from the first harvest, but they must not be put on the altar to be burned as a sweet smell. 13 Also, you must put salt on every grain offering you bring. You must not forget to add salt, because it represents God’s agreement with you. Always put salt on these offerings.
14 “If you bring a grain offering from the first harvest to the Lord , you must bring roasted heads of grain. They must be crushed heads of fresh grain. This will be your grain offering from the first harvest. 15 You must put oil and frankincense on it. It is a grain offering. 16 The priest must burn part of the crushed grain, the oil, and all the frankincense on it as a memorial offering. It is a gift to the Lord .
2 And when any will offer a meat offering unto the Lord , his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:
2 And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord :
3 And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the Lord made by fire.
4 And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baken in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.
5 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil.
6 Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: it is a meat offering.
7 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in the fryingpan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.
8 And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the Lord : and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.
9 And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord .
10 And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the Lord made by fire.
11 No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the Lord , shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the Lord made by fire.
12 As for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall offer them unto the Lord : but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savour.
13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
14 And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the Lord , thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.
15 And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense thereon: it is a meat offering.
16 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord .
2 ‘Now when anyone presents a ( A ) grain offering as an offering to the Lord , his offering shall be of fine flour, and he shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it. 2 He shall then bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests; and he shall take from it ( B ) his handful of its fine flour and of its oil, with all of its frankincense. And the priest shall offer it up in smoke as its ( C ) memorial portion on the altar, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord . 3 ( D ) The remainder of the grain offering belongs to ( E ) Aaron and his sons: a most holy part of the offerings to the Lord by fire.
4 ‘Now when you bring an offering of a grain offering baked in an oven, it shall be ( F ) unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers [ a ] spread with oil. 5 And if your offering is a grain offering made ( G ) on the griddle, it shall be of fine flour, unleavened, mixed with oil; 6 you shall break it into bits and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. 7 Now if your offering is a grain offering made ( H ) in a [ b ] pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. 8 When you bring in the grain offering which is made of these things to the Lord , it shall be presented to the priest, and he shall bring it to the altar. 9 The priest then shall take up from the grain offering ( I ) its memorial portion, and shall offer it up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord . 10 ( J ) The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons: a most holy part of the offerings to the Lord by fire.
11 ‘ ( K ) No grain offering, which you bring to the Lord , shall be made with leaven, for you shall not offer [ c ] up in smoke any leaven or any honey as an ( L ) offering by fire to the Lord . 12 ( M ) As an offering of first fruits you shall bring them to the Lord , but they shall not ascend as a soothing aroma on the altar. 13 Every grain offering of yours, moreover, you shall season with salt, so that ( N ) the salt of the covenant of your God will not be lacking from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.
14 ‘Also if you bring a grain offering of early ripened things to the Lord , you shall bring ( O ) fresh heads of grain roasted in the fire, crushed grain of new growth, for the grain offering of your early ripened produce. 15 You shall then put oil on it and place incense on it; it is a grain offering. 16 Then the priest shall offer up in smoke ( P ) its memorial portion, part of its crushed grain and its oil with all its incense as an offering by fire to the Lord .
2 “‘When anyone brings a grain offering ( A ) to the Lord , their offering is to be of the finest flour. ( B ) They are to pour olive oil ( C ) on it, ( D ) put incense on it ( E ) 2 and take it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour ( F ) and oil, together with all the incense, ( G ) and burn this as a memorial [ a ] portion ( H ) on the altar, a food offering, ( I ) an aroma pleasing to the Lord . ( J ) 3 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; ( K ) it is a most holy ( L ) part of the food offerings presented to the Lord .
4 “‘If you bring a grain offering baked in an oven, ( M ) it is to consist of the finest flour: either thick loaves made without yeast and with olive oil mixed in or thin loaves ( N ) made without yeast and brushed with olive oil. ( O ) 5 If your grain offering is prepared on a griddle, ( P ) it is to be made of the finest flour mixed with oil, and without yeast. 6 Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. 7 If your grain offering is cooked in a pan, ( Q ) it is to be made of the finest flour and some olive oil. 8 Bring the grain offering made of these things to the Lord ; present it to the priest, who shall take it to the altar. 9 He shall take out the memorial portion ( R ) from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord . ( S ) 10 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; ( T ) it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the Lord . ( U )
11 “‘Every grain offering you bring to the Lord must be made without yeast, ( V ) for you are not to burn any yeast or honey in a food offering presented to the Lord . 12 You may bring them to the Lord as an offering of the firstfruits, ( W ) but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma. 13 Season all your grain offerings with salt. ( X ) Do not leave the salt of the covenant ( Y ) of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.
14 “‘If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits ( Z ) to the Lord , offer crushed heads of new grain roasted in the fire. 15 Put oil and incense ( AA ) on it; it is a grain offering. 16 The priest shall burn the memorial portion ( AB ) of the crushed grain and the oil, together with all the incense, ( AC ) as a food offering presented to the Lord .
