25 Unto thee, O Lord , do I lift up my soul.

² O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

³ Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

⁴ Shew me thy ways, O Lord ; teach me thy paths.

⁵ Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

⁶ Remember, O Lord , thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

⁷ Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord .

⁸ Good and upright is the Lord : therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

⁹ The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

¹⁰ All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

¹¹ For thy name's sake, O Lord , pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

¹² What man is he that feareth the Lord ? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

¹³ His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

¹⁴ The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

¹⁵ Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord ; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

¹⁶ Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

¹⁷ The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

¹⁸ Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

¹⁹ Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

²⁰ O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

²¹ Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

²² Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

25 Lord , I put my life in your hands. ^{[ b ]}
² I trust in you, my God,
and I will not be disappointed.
My enemies will not laugh at me.
³ No one who trusts in you will be disappointed.
But disappointment will come to those who try to deceive others.
They will get nothing.

⁴ Lord , help me learn your ways.
Show me how you want me to live.
⁵ Guide me and teach me your truths.
You are my God, my Savior.
You are the one I have been waiting for.
⁶ Remember to be kind to me, Lord .
Show me the tender love that you have always had.
⁷ Don’t remember the sinful things I did when I was young.
Because you are good, Lord , remember me with your faithful love.

⁸ The Lord is good and does what is right.
He shows sinners the right way to live.
⁹ He teaches his ways to humble people.
He leads them with fairness.
¹⁰ The Lord is kind and true to those
who obey what he said in his agreement.

¹¹ Lord , I have done many wrong things.
But I ask you to forgive them all to show your goodness.

¹² When people choose to follow the Lord ,
he shows them the best way to live.
¹³ They will enjoy good things,
and their children will get the land God promised.
¹⁴ The Lord tells his secrets to his followers.
He teaches them about his agreement.
¹⁵ I always look to the Lord for help.
Only he can free me from my troubles. ^{[ c ]}

¹⁶ I am hurt and lonely.
Turn to me, and show me mercy.
¹⁷ Free me from my troubles.
Help me solve my problems.
¹⁸ Look at my trials and troubles.
Forgive me for all the sins I have done.
¹⁹ Look at all the enemies I have.
They hate me and want to hurt me.
²⁰ Protect me! Save me from them!
I come to you for protection, so don’t let me be disappointed.
²¹ You are good and do what is right.
I trust you to protect me.
²² God, save the people of Israel
from all their enemies.

They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.
⁴ Show me thy ways, O Jehovah;
Teach me thy paths.
⁵ Guide me in thy truth, and teach me;
For thou art the God of my salvation;
For thee do I wait all the day.
⁶ Remember, O Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness;
For they have been ever of old.

For thy goodness’ sake, O Jehovah.

25 To you, Yahweh, I lift up my soul.
² My God, I have trusted in you.
Don’t let me be shamed.
Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.
³ Yes, no one who waits for you will be shamed.
They will be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.

⁴ Show me your ways, Yahweh.
Teach me your paths.
⁵ Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
For you are the God of my salvation,
I wait for you all day long.
⁶ Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness,
for they are from old times.
⁷ Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions.
Remember me according to your loving kindness,
for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.
⁸ Good and upright is Yahweh,
therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.
⁹ He will guide the humble in justice.
He will teach the humble his way.
¹⁰ All the paths of Yahweh are loving kindness and truth
to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
¹¹ For your name’s sake, Yahweh,
pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
¹² What man is he who fears Yahweh?
He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.
¹³ His soul will dwell at ease.
His offspring will inherit the land.
¹⁴ The friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him.
He will show them his covenant.

¹⁵ My eyes are ever on Yahweh,
for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
¹⁶ Turn to me, and have mercy on me,
for I am desolate and afflicted.
¹⁷ The troubles of my heart are enlarged.
Oh bring me out of my distresses.
¹⁸ Consider my affliction and my travail.
Forgive all my sins.
¹⁹ Consider my enemies, for they are many.
They hate me with cruel hatred.
²⁰ Oh keep my soul, and deliver me.

² My God, in Thee I have trusted, Let me not be ashamed, Let not mine enemies exult over me.

³ Also let none waiting on Thee be ashamed, Let the treacherous dealers without cause be ashamed.

⁴ Thy ways, O Jehovah, cause me to know, Thy paths teach Thou me.

⁵ Cause me to tread in Thy truth, and teach me, For Thou [art] the God of my salvation, Near Thee I have waited all the day.

⁶ Remember Thy mercies, O Jehovah, And Thy kindnesses, for from the age [are] they.

⁷ Sins of my youth, and my transgressions, Do not Thou remember. According to Thy kindness be mindful of me, For Thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah.

⁸ Good and upright [is] Jehovah, Therefore He directeth sinners in the way.

⁹ He causeth the humble to tread in judgment, And teacheth the humble His way.

¹⁰ All the paths of Jehovah [are] kindness and truth, To those keeping His covenant, And His testimonies.

¹¹ For Thy name's sake, O Jehovah, Thou hast pardoned mine iniquity, for it [is] great.

¹² Who [is] this -- the man fearing Jehovah? He directeth him in the way He doth choose.

¹³ His soul in good doth remain, And his seed doth possess the land.

¹⁴ The secret of Jehovah [is] for those fearing Him, And His covenant -- to cause them to know.

¹⁵ Mine eyes [are] continually unto Jehovah, For He bringeth out from a net my feet.

¹⁶ Turn Thou unto me, and favour me, For lonely and afflicted [am] I.

¹⁷ The distresses of my heart have enlarged themselves, From my distresses bring me out.

¹⁸ See mine affliction and my misery, And bear with all my sins.

¹⁹ See my enemies, for they have been many, And with violent hatred they have hated me.

²⁰ Keep my soul, and deliver me, Let me not be ashamed, for I trusted in Thee.

²¹ Integrity and uprightness do keep me, For I have waited [on] Thee.

²² Redeem Israel, O God, from all his distresses!
